About NIAID Projects
Advancing infectious, immunologic, and allergic disease health and research data through shared resources developed by GO FAIR US and NIAID
Since 2023, GO FAIR US has been conducting data landscaping work for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Using a FAIR framework of analysis, the collaboration between GO FAIR US and NIAID has led to a range of public-facing publications, strategies, and assessment tools for better data repository practices. On this page, you will find a range of those resources, as well as insights from the ongoing partnership.

Our Vision
Advancing the transparency and interoperability of the ecosystem of NIAID resources and practices for greater ease of use and more impactful infectious, allergic, and immune-mediated disease (IID) data access and analysis across domains and geographies.
Our Objectives
NIAID’s data ecosystem offers a trove of high-quality data that can be beneficial to research across the life sciences. The ongoing partnership between NIAID and GO FAIR US endeavors to:
-
Increase the utilization of NIAID data resources within and beyond NIAID;
-
Improve the interoperability of NIAID data resources, tools and services, creating a more cohesive ecosystem; and
-
Demonstrate the value of good repository practices to better the discovery, delivery, and reuse of high-impact IID research.
