The creation of a NIAID Data Resource Liaison Group is one part of the Community Engagement strategy included in the Blueprint.  While the Blueprint recommendations have been informed by analysis done by the GO FAIR US team for ODSET, both parties see the value of continued engagement with the NIAID communities for purposes of feedback on the efficacy and applicability of the recommendations.  Consequently, representatives from key NIAID data resource organizations were invited to join a data resource liaison group where information can be developed and shared among the members of the group and ODSET including topics related to implementation options, and use cases for specific types of digital objects.  These discussions may result in refinement or extension of the current Blueprint recommendations or collaboratively developed products such as guidelines on the use of data standards or common or best practices for the infectious and immune-mediated diseases (IID domains).
